These polystar® film sealers can apply perfect seals to large and heavy bags filled with free-flowing products. The heating strips are positioned horizontally, which allows bags to stand upright during sealing. This means that none of your product will spill out of the bag as you seal it.

You could also supplement these double-heated thermal impulse sealers with a lifting carriage to create the perfect packaging station. The polystar® 400 HM series sealer is mounted on the height-adjustable platform of the lifting carriage. An integrated, height-adjustable roller track beneath the working platform allows you to guide bags between the horizontal heating strips with ease. All you have to do is actuate the foot pedal to initiate the thermal impulse – and that’s it!

Sealers in the 400 HM series are available in sealing widths from 400 mm to 1000 mm. The front heating strip is held in place by two to four stable spacers (depending on the width of the sealer) positioned approx. 30 mm above the heating strip. However, this also means that there is an inherent upper limit to the height of the bag above the seam, as only around 30 mm can protrude above the sealed seam.

So, what can you do if you need more of an overhang above the sealed seam? Just let us know! As it happens, we have the perfect solution on hand, namely mounting the heating strips on a U-profile. This allows you to leave an overhang above the seam and in no way compromises the integrity of the seal. The only thing you still need to decide is whether you want to feed in bags from right-to-left or from left-to-right.

Sealers in the polystar® 400 HM series are every bit as reliable and durable as their counterparts in the polystar® 400 M series, in which the heating strips are positioned vertically.

  This energy-saving and thus environmentally friendly method only consumes energy when the thermal impulse is initiated. It also eliminates the need to wait while the device heats up – simply switch on the power, set the sealing and cooling time, and away you go.
